JDA retrieves 60 kanals of land

JAMMU, June 18: In continuation to its drive against the encroachers, Jammu Development Authority (JDA) has retrieved 60 kanals of prime land at Keran, Bantalab near Radha Swami Satsang Ghar.
As per details, the JDA in compliance to the Court's order has initiated drive against land encroachers and prepared comprehensive action plan, so far about 400 to 500 kanals of land has been retrieved in Jammu and the value of the same is more than Rs 350 crore.
Vice Chairman, JDA, RK Shavan has directed the Director Land Management JDA and the Collector Land Acquisition JDA to demarcate and fence the land after its proper identification so that no confusion is left out for any further litigation.
In Keran Bantalab, about 60 kanals of land has been retrieved by removing illegal constructions, compounds, plinths and other structures built illegally by the land encroachers. Tehsildar JDA Zone-A Kusum Chib assisted by thick contingent of the local police officers got the land demarcated and fenced within two days.
