Simple affair at NC meet

JAMMU, May 31: Chicken Yakhni, Paneer, Rajmash and other choicest delicacies were prepared to tease the taste buds of senior National Conference leaders who assembled here at Sher-i-Kashmir Bhawan to take stock of the current political scenario in the state.
Dr Farooq Abdullah and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah along with senior party ministers belonging to Jammu region were present along with over 150 party workers, office bearers during the day long convention.
To impress the party leaders the organisers of the meeting had placed special order to cook Chicken Yakhni, Paneer and Rajmash.
Traditional kebabs and Ghustaba could not make it to the menu list as the organisers had worked hard to keep it a simple affair and had not made any efforts to serve lavish lunch.
In 2013 Omar had opted for a quick bite in the nearby food joint of a multinational company along with his coterie of ministers. This time he avoided stepping out of the cool confines of Sher-i-Kashmir Bhawan.
In view of the hot weather conditions efforts were also made to provide proper air conditioning in the Sher-i-Kashmir Bhawan to keep the temperatures low.
