No rules on bus stops

Kashmir Times. Dated: 12/24/2013 11:11:22 PM

Dear Editor,
The government has sanctioned mini bus stops to be made at different places in Jammu city for the convenience of people of city and to regularize the irregular movements of people on roads. This effective step has been taken by the concerned authorities which helps in controlling the traffic of vehicles. But the mini bus drivers, conductors and also the educated people do not follow these laws which have being made by the concerned authorities. People use the places other than the bus stops for boarding up the mini buses, which creates disturbance in the movements on road.
The allotted places for mini bus stops are being used by the hawkers, beggars and other persons like smokers etc. Hawkers make these places as their permanent place for selling of goods, beggers use these bus stops for begging and smokers smoke without any check. This has an adverse impact on young generation. So my opinion is that the government should take an effective steps to overcome this problem and the people should follow the rules being made by the authorities.
