JE commits suicide

RAJOURI, Nov 18: A Junior Engineer (JE) of General Reserve Engineering Force (GREF) allegedly committed suicide in Rajouri after he blasted himself with an explosive material to be used in road construction work.
The Junior Engineer, identified as Parvesh Kumar, 25, son of Raj Roop, resident of Haryana, was posted in 58 RCC GREF and deputed in Kanga Gali area under the jurisdiction of Manjakote Police Station. He allegedly committed suicide inside his bathroom late yesterday evening by blasting himself with explosive material used in road construction work.
The body of deceased was today shifted to District Hospital where post mortem was conducted.
Police has initiated inquest proceedings under section 174 CrPC into the matter.
Reports added that the upper portion of the body of engineer was blown up due to blast.
