Death of 2 brothers; Pandit family demands probe

SRINAGAR, Feb 20: A Pandit family on Thursday appealed authorities to conduct a thorough probe into the mysterious deaths of two brothers at Zewan police headquarters, reports a news agency KNT.
Pertinently, a police follower Sameer Koul and his polio ridden brother Veerji Koul were found dead inside a washroom at Zewan Police Headquarters on February 3 earlier this month.
The family members told Kashmir News Trust that they received a couple of phone calls from Zewan about these deaths. A caller informed us that they died in a fire incident which was not the case.
“We smell foul and appeal authorities to conduct a fair probe into the incident,” said the sister of the deceased.
One of the deceased was deputed with 9th battalion of Jammu Kashmir Armed Police.
