Train services suspended in Kashmir

SRINAGAR, Dec 13: Train service on Friday was suspended in Kashmir valley due to snowfall, official sources said.
However, one train operated from Srinagar-Badgam to Baramulla in north Kashmir this morning. Later, train service was suspended on this route also, they said.
They said that at several places the railway track was under six inches to one feet of snow in south Kashmir. Therefore, no train will run on Badgam-Srinagar-Anantnag-Qazigund in south Kashmir to Banihal in Jammu region.
Snow clearance operation has been launched and train service will be resumed in south Kashmir if there is no fresh snowfall.
