Centre didn’t reject Doda quake package: JKPCC

JAMMU, Jul 28: Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) president and former minister Prof Saif-ud-Din Soz today dismissed the reports about Centre rejecting the demand for Doda quake package.
He said, “There’s no question. Give me the copy of the package that was sent to the Centre. I’ll discuss with you and then explain if it has been rejected, why. The Government of India is prepared to help everybody. In Doda, the basic problem is that they must know the technology how to repair these houses, how to live with earthquake. Doda and Kashmir, some other parts of Jammu are in Seismic Zone V like Japan is in Zone V. In Japan, the technology is that the houses move but they don’t fall.
