2 arrested for raping minor in Kathua

KATHUA, Jul 16: A police party of Police Station Malhar Wednesday arrested two accused for committing rape with a minor girl.
These accused were identified as Mohammed Iqbal and Babu Din both residents of Sadrota, Lohai Malhar.
“Police after receiving complaint about rape of minor girl immediately registered a case FIR 07/2019 u/s 452, 376 and Section 4 POCSO Act in Police Station Malhar and investigation set into motion. After conducting medical examinations and other required procedures IO recorded the statement of victim u/s 164 CrPC before magistrate,” said a police spokesperson.
“Based on the gathered information and investigation Police team arrested both the accused. Further investigation into the case is going on,” he added.
