Elderly pilgrim dies at Baltal

SRINAGAR, Jul 14: An elderly Amarnath pilgrim died on Sunday due to cardiac arrest at Baltal- a base camp in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.
Reports said that 62-year old female pilgrim identified as Sundri Devi, wife of Ram Narayan Chohan of Dola-Ajmeer Rajasthan, collapsed this morning and she was subsequently evacuated for medical assistance at Baltal.
However, doctors at the medical facility declared her as brought dead.
Police took cognizance of the incident and a case under relevant sections was also registered in this regard.
