BJP elects Katra Mandal chief

JAMMU, Dec 12: Ajay Baru was elected Mandal President of Katra mandal under the supervision of BJP State Spokesperson Ramesh Arora, who has been deputed for this exercise by party.

In a statement issued here today, the election was held in the presence of Reasi district President Kabla Singh and senior leaders including Kuldeep Dubey, Ajay Nanda, Babu Ram Dubey, Shashi Sharma, Chain Singh, Ramesh Sharma, Narsingh Dayal, Shiv Charan, Sanjay Goldy, Lal singh and Abdul rashid.

Meanwhile, the similar election at Mandal level in Doda district concluded with the election of all the five mandal presidents held under the supervision of BJYM State President Munish Sharma in presence of Doda District President Dalip Singh Parihar and Distt. Seh-Prabhari Shakti Parihar.

In these elections held at respective mandal headquarters, Satish Chander Kotwal was elected president for Bhaderwah mandal, Daljeet Gupta for Bhalla mandal, Manjeet Kumar for Marmat mandal, Sanjay Singh for Churala mandal and Capt. Krishan Chand for Jodhpur mandal.

Munish Sharma, who along with other senior leaders of the district visited every mandal to ensure smooth conduct of the whole exercise, said that with the election of all the five mandals, the next phase of electing District President will be taken up.

He congratulated the newly elected mandal presidents and said that the party has bestowed on their shoulders a very important responsibility and it is hoped that they will work whole heartedly to ensure further strengthening the party in their respective mandals with the active co-operation and guidance from their party seniors in the mandal.
