6 bovine smugglers arrested at Mughal road

POONCH, Jul 21: Police this morning arrested six bovine smugglers at Bufliaz village on Mughal road and recovered twenty bovines from four Tata Mobiles.
Official sources said based on a tip off, a police party laid a naka at Bufliaz village and started checking various vehicles along and at Mughal road. During search operation, four Tata mobiles bearing registration Nos JK11 A 1938, JK11 A 0304, JK02B 9331, JK18 5510, the police recovered twenty bovine animals. The bovine smugglers however tried to flee from the spot. But all of them were later arrested by police.
Those arrested were identified as Mudasir Ahmed, son of Ghulam Nabi, a resident of Bachuru, Kulgam, Khurshid Ahmed, son of Abdul Rehman, a resident of Heerpur, Shopian, Abdul Hamid, son of Abdul Gani, a resident of Lah, Thanna Mandi, Mohammed Younis, son of Abdul Khaliq, a resident of Thanna Mandi, Mohammed Imtiaz, son of Mohammed Qasim, a resident of Pangari, Manjakote, Shabir Ahmed, son of Khewan, a resident of Manjakote.
The police registered a case FIR No 105/13, U/S 188RPC and 3PCA Act Prevention of Cruelty against animals at Police Station Surankote and started investigation in this case.
