No curfew today

SRINAGAR, July 20: Curfew will be lifted from most parts of Kashmir tomorrow.. However, restrictions will remain imposed in some volatile areas of Srinagar.
An official spokesperson said there will be no curfew tomorrow. “Restrictions will remain in some volatile areas,” he said.
Meanwhile, a local news agency, KNS, said the state government has given clear instructions to security forces not to open fire on protesters. “A meeting was held late last evening where CRPF higher ups were especially asked to show maximum restraint,” the agency said.
