Educational-cum-motivational tour flagged off
JAMMU, Dec 3: Educational cum Motivational tour on the theme : ‘PAIGAM-E-AMAN’ for the 23 college students from Poonch and Surankote Degree College flagged off by the Rashtriya Rifle Battalion under the aegis of Counter Insurgency Force (Romeo) from Kalai, today.

The aim of the tour is to provide an opportunity to the students, to visit the other places in the country outside their own region, and to give them an exposure to the development taking place in various spheres in other part of the country and to meet and interact with their countrymen from other regions, establishing bonds of friendship with them.

During the thirteen days tour, the students will get opportunity to visit Trivandrum, Kanyakumari, Wellington, Ooty, Mysore and Bangalore. The highpoint of the tour will be the visit to Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre, Trivandrum and Hindustan Aeronautical, Bangalore.

Abdul Sakur, aged 18 years, of Poonch Degree College said that it was a golden opportunity to visit such places outside the state, and to see other parts of this great country of ours.

The locals and the family members of these students expressed their gratitude to the Army for giving them an opportunity to visit other parts of the country. They were confident that this endeavour would broaden their horizon and have a positive impact on their minds.
