CPI discloses it funding
ActIT Jammu, Projects, Java,, C# Training Jammu
Dear Editor,

Communist Party of India should be complimented to become first and the only political party for disclosing funding made to it by various sources when query was made to the party through an RTI petition, even though it did not approve of CIC-verdict bringing political parties under ambit of RTI Act. Similar RTI petitions were sent to several political parties including the six which were ordered as public-authorities under RTI Act by Central Information Commission through its full-bench order dated 03.06.2013.

However the party did not find it feasible to respond to action taken on suggestions forwarded to it on much-needed and extra-long delayed poll-reforms out of which many were pending with the Union government even after being recommended by Election Commission several decades back. CPI could not trace one such set of suggestions forwarded to it by India’s first Chief Information Commissioner Shri Wajahat Habibulla who is at present Chairperson of National Minorities Commission.

Funding to political parties is not the only aspect which can be queried to political parties through RTI petitions. Important aspects concerning poll-reforms can also be queried from political parties through properly drafted RTI petitions which can practically provide nation and its public purity in poll and political system.
