JAKEDA developing 6 Mini Hydel Power Projects in J&K

SRINAGAR, July 17: The Jammu and Kashmir Energy Development Agency (JAKEDA) is developing 6 Mini Hydel Power Projects of 9.90 MW capacity in the Jammu and Kashmir State through IPP mode under phase-II.
This was stated by the Minister of State for Science and Technology Feroz Ahmad Khan here today.
The Minister said that the process has been started through competitive bidding adding that the required letters have been issued to the respective bidders by the authorities of JAKEDA.
The Minister said that the JAKEDA has earlier allotted 6 projects to the IPP’s having 9.95 MW Cumulative capacities under Phase I.
The endeavour of the allotment of more projects shall continue in future also, in a phased manner by JAKEDA to play a positive role as state Renewable Nodal Agency for harnessing the power potential in the state.
