J&K police wrestler lifts 17th Dhara-Ardhan dangal title

JAMMU, Jan 19: Wrestyler Nisar Ahmed of J&K Police resident of Doda defeated Wrestler Gurpreet of Zirkapur in Chandigarh, Patha RS Kundu wrestling coach and lifted “ 17th Dhara-Ardhan Dangal Title 2019.
The Dangal was organized by Dhara-Ardhan Dangal Committee in association with J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association at Pail (Ardhan) in Mera Mandrian Tehsil and Jammu District.
Dangal was witnessed by a large gathering Reasi, Pouni, Akhnoor, Jerri and surrounding Villages. 83 bouts were played in the one day long dangal and an amount of Rs. 3,21,000/= was distributed in the shape of cash prizes among the winners and runners-up wrestlers.
The second main bout was fought between bAjay Sharma of Landen Power House (Udhampur) V/s Amir Khan of J&K Police. This bout was won by Ajay Sharma .
The third main bout was won by Roshan Lal Sharma of J&K Police who defeated Johnny of Attari (Amritsar) and 4th bout was won by Kulbir Singh of Kot Bhawal who defeated Suresh of Pathankot.
Two women wrestling bouts also played. First bout was won by Pooja of Panipat who defeated Sweety of Delhi and Second bout was won by Kirti of Lucknow (UP) who defeated Neha of Rajasthan.
Members and Technical officials who helped for smooth conduct of this dangal included Range Officer Surinder Singh (President), Surjeet Singh (Vice President), Som Dath, Jatinder Singh, Kuljeet Singh, Mohinder Singh, Pawan Kumar, Kuldeep Singh, Faquir Singh, Mukesh Kumar, Kartar Chand, Munish Kumar, Rashpal Singh, Mohd. Fareed, Tulinder Kumar, Sunny (Airtel), Capt. (Retd.) Lehar Singh and Master Ram Krishan.
