Police fail to get any clue about ‘disappeared’ JE
RAJOURI, JULY 13: Rajouri police have failed even to get any clue of a Junior Engineer (JE), who had disappeared under suspicious circumstances from Rajouri on Wednesday.

Jyoti Devi wife of missing JE Sunny Dogra resident of Gandhi Nagar, Jammu said that he left his rented residence at ITI Road in the heart of Rajouri city at about 12.30 PM Wednesday and after that he didn’t turn up. The matter was taken up with his seniors and accordingly after initial search, department lodged a missing complaint with the Rajouri police late in the evening.

Immediately after registration of complaint, police started investigations but till date police failed to trace the missing JE.

Inspector Varinder Gupta, SHO, informed that till 1.00 PM on Wednesday the mobile phone location of the missing JE was traced in Bathooni-Muradpur area which is on Jammu-Poonch highway towards Jammu and about 5-6 kilometers from Rajouri city.

According to missing JE’s father Vijay Dogra and mother Rajni Dogra, their son was feeling uncomfortable at Darhal, his place of posting and was always saying that some unidentified persons were chasing him continuously.

“He was also being harassed by some of his colleagues to sign fictitious bills and some contractors were also demanding favours from him,” alleged the parents.

Some sources in intelligence agencies were also of the view that the missing JE was an eyewitness in the thrashing of Ravi Raina, AEE, R&B by some residents of Darhal and by Farooq Mirza, Naib Tehsildar in full public view in the month of January this year.

“Police under the supervision of SSP have left no stone unturned to get the clue in the disappearance of Sunny Dogra. His colleagues, some contractors and civilians have been questioned by the police but nothing concrete has been found to locate him,” said F C Bhagat, DDC.

“Before leaving for duty on Wednesday Sunny had handed over Rs 10,000 for sundry expenses. Some people after his disappearance told me that Sunny was seen moving in the Rajouri market wearing a cap, which he never used to,” said his wife Jyoti Devi.

Vijay Dogra father of the JE said that for the last few days he was complaining about some harassment and he had contacted his Executive Engineer to adjust him at Rajouri.
