Vohra condoles Khanday’s demise

JAMMU, Nov 19: Former Jammu and Kashmir Governor N N Vohra and his wife Usha Vohra have expressed their condolences over the death of ex-Chief Secretary Mohammad Iqbal Khanday.
In a condolence message, former Governor and his wife conveyed their grief to Mohammad Iqbal Khanday’s wife.
The former bureaucrat, the first IAS officer from Kashmir to be appointed Chief Secretary of the state, passed away after a long battle with cancer at SKIMS Soura in Srinagar on Sunday night.
“Khanday had worked with Vohra during the period of Governor’s Rule before Mufti Mohammad Sayeed’s coalition government took over,” the message read. “They (Mrs and Mr Vohra) have prayed to the almighty to rest the departed soul in eternal peace.”
