Christian Christian Sports Organisation formed

JAMMU, Oct 02: Former Ranji cricketer, Rajesh Gill has been made president of the newly formed Christian Sports Organisation, J&K in a meeting of the prominent persons of the community held here today.
The organization has been established with the sole objective of chennalising the energy of the youth from the community in right direction. It was resolved in the meeting that the Organization will provide the young community members a platform to excel sports.
Meeting that took place at Gandhi Nagar Church under the Chairmanship of Fr.Kuriakose (head priest of the Church), appointed Rev. Bishop Fr. Peter Celestine as chief patron and Rev. Vinay Sunny (Priest of CNI Church, Srinagar) as patron.
It was decided to appoint Rev. Vinu Koul (Priest of Srinagar Church) as vice-chairman, Victor Sotra as vice-president and Friedee (Srinagar) as general secretary.
Other office bearers elected were Asif Gill, joint secretary; Fr.KuriaKose, financial advisor; Adv. Janak Raj Arora, legal advisor; Rajesh Dhar, technical advisor and Navin Athwal, treasurer. As also sports secretaries: Vijay Koul (Srinagar), Babu Bunty, Prince Athwal, William Mattoo (Jammu).
The meeting also nominated selectors for different disciplines. Cricket: Micheal, Benjamin, Sunil Mattoo. Football: Elajah Sotra, Moon Stephan. Cricket conduct committee incharge:-David Mattoo. Football conduct committee incharge: Elijah Sotra. Members: Clint Mattoo, Amit, Nitu, Rakul,Anthony,Rinku Gill, Suhail and Ravi Manchanda.
