Mis-governance and corrupt polity
ActIT Jammu, Projects, Java,, C# Training Jammu
Dear Editor,

Dismembering the constitutional and administrative institutions beyond repair is the hallmark of state dispensation. Cover ups and putting lid over every scandal which surfaces has become the norm under the present state government in Jammu and Kashmir. The visible examples are infamous spurious and purchase of drug scandals, death of hundreds infants in JB Singh Hospital and land grabbing to name a few. The state has left behind all other corrupt states on menacing corruption, unaccountability and non-transparency.

Political waywardness is perhaps the main reason behind fiscal mess in the state, otherwise there is no logic behind crunch in plenty of funds put at the disposal of State Government for which Chief Minister is expressing his thankfulness to Congress led UPA government. However, contractors are clamouring for their outstandings and poor pensioners are awfully crying for payment of 3rd annual instalment of 6th pension revision arrears besides 6 percent DA arrears w.e.f. 1/1/2009 to 30/6/2009 (kyot undisturbed to date). Ambiguous orders that contradict rather negate the earlier ones have been issued without applying mind for safe guard of majority pensioners. All this paucity in plenty of central packages and doles is an irony. Economy is in shambles. Proper planning is nowhere in sight. Top heavy and oversized administration is an unbearable burden. State is getting trapped into acute debt vortex with every passing year and this moving backward trend does not catch sight of those who day in and day out chant much hyped development.

In the State government is turning deaf ear and blind eye to the acute day to day problems the people are confronted with. This gives strength to the already established belief that there is governance deficit over here. Why is the government not taking corrective measures to overcome the prevailing scenario. There is definitely calculated method in madness.

Due to arrogance of power the fourth pillar of democracy too has been reduced insignificant and superfluous.
