Literary cum musical programme organized

JAMMU, Nov 21 : The Academy of Art, Culture and Languages organized a literary –cum-musical programme on the eve of 543rd Prakash Ustav of Guru Nanak Devji in the K L Saigal Hall here today.

Ex-Minister, Rangil Singh presided over the function whereas S Prithal Singh Betab was the chief guest. Additional Secretary, Cultural Academy, Jammu, Savita Bakshi also shared the dais.

Additional Secretary Jammu said that Guru Nanak Devji has enlightened the whole world by writing his philosophy in the shape of “Shabad Kirtan” which teaches the lesson of humanity, brotherhood and amity.

Rangil Singh appealed to people to follow the teachings of Guru Nanak Devjii and also appreciated the efforts of the cultural activity for organization such a programme on this Parkash Utsav.

First session of the event was “Shabad Kirtan” of Guru Nanak Devji by Gurvinder Singh, Kawal Singh, Manpreet Kour, and S Sukhbeer Singh.

Later, in “Kavi Sammelan”, the poets who recited their poems mostly based on “Parkash Divas” inlcuded A S Mastana, Dr Raina, Dr Sham Kashmiri, Dr Monjit, Bachan Bharti Devinder Vishavnagrik, Amarjeet Kour Neer and Dr Satinder Singh.
