Militants attack, injure SPO in Tral

ANANTNAG, Aug 7: Militants on Tuesday evening shot at injured a special police officer (SPO) in Syedabad Pastuna village of Tral in southern Pulwama district.
Reports said that the unidentified militants barged into the house of SPO at around 8 pm and fired at him leaving him wounded.
The SPO identified as Ashiq Hussain Lone received bullets in both legs and was taken to sub-district hospital Tral.
Doctors said that the SPO after being given first aid was referred to Srinagar hospital for advanced treatment.
After the incident, reports said, a huge contingent of forces arrived in the village and launched searches to nab the gunmen involved in the attack on SPO.
