Shakti Nagar road craves for attention
ActIT Jammu, ASP.net Projects, Java, Vb.net, C# Training Jammu
Dear Editor,

Through the medium of your esteemed newspaper, I would like to draw the attention of the authorities towards the poor condition of the Shakti Nagar road that craves for urgent attention. In fact, the road from PHE water pump near Kali Bhairav temple to Bakshi Nagar Bridge is in a very bad shape and causing lot of inconvenience to the people, of the locality in particular and public in general. The road has not been restored to its worthy condition despite the work of laying the sewerage pipelines by the concerned agency already over.

It's not that the people are suffering on account of bad conditions of the roads just for a few months, it's perhaps now for a long time, including the period during which the work of laying the pipelines was under progress. This in fact is a basic cause of concern for the residents who continue to suffer due to the poor condition of the road in absence of blacktopping. They are exposed to the dust and pollution wafting from the unmacadamized road almost on a daily basis. It is pertinent to mention here that this road is also used frequented by the pedestrians as well as those plying their vehicles. The road also provides alternative to the Jammu Akhnoor highway at times when it is blocked owing the traffic jams etc. While all developmental works initiated by the authorities at the helm merit appreciation, it would be better if such tasks are completed within the minimum possible time so as to minimize the inconvenience to the public.

Keeping in view the difficulties faced by the public owing to the bad condition of the road in absence of blacktopping, it is requested that the authorities concerned may look into the problem and get the needful done to provide much needed respite to the residents.

Hopefully, the authorities will accord priority to the issue of public importance.

Ravi Sharma,

Shakti Nagar, Jammu
