Top spinners stormed into knockouts, spin twins stay alive

JAMMU, Jul 21: Winning both their matches comfortably, Top spinners entered the knockout round. In their first match of the day, they defeated Singh warriors by 3-1. Ritvik bt Dr Prabhjot 3-0, Maninder bt Ketan 3-2, Faisal bt saksham 3-0 & Ritvik bt Maninder Singh 3-1.
In their second match Top spinners comfortably beat morning warriors by 3-0.
The biggest upset of the day came when Spin twins defeated Evergreen Jammuites by 3-1. In the first match of the tie Naresh bt Ratnesh Puri 3-2, Anuj drubbed Gurvinder 3-0 and then the most unexpected, Aviral singh got the better of one of the most experienced players of the state, I.P singh in the intense battle that lasts five games in which Aviral had the last laugh giving their team a 2-1 lead. Anuj, their captain clinched the opportunity and thrashed Naresh Gupta 3-0 giving his team their first win of the tournament.
Keeping the momentum going, Spin twins outplayed Morning warriors by 3-0, thus staying alive in the competition.
