SRINAGAR, July 16: The RTI activist who had moved an application before Chief Information Commissioner (CIC) vis-à-vis Cricket association today said his hardwork bore fruits after Crime Branch filed charge-sheet before the court in multi-crore scam.
Majid Dar who had sought details through Right to Information Act (RTI) said the charge-sheet filed against former Chief Minister and NC President, Dr Farooq Abdullah and others proved whosoever indulges in wrongdoing in any manner has to face the music.
“I am very much glad that CBI filed charge-sheet in multi- crore scam involving former CM, Farooq Abdullah and other bigwigs in Cricket Association. This is the victory of truth which eventuality prevailed,” said Dar talking to media at Saddar Court complex.
Dar while praising the efforts of CB for bringing those involved directly or indirectly into the scam said, he did moved application against any individual or for any personal gains but for the larger interest of public especially cricket lovers.
Pertinently, State Crime Branch today filed charge-sheet in multi-crore funds scam in Cricket Association in the court of law.
“I am overwhelmed with the results of my hard work. It is a historic move and I really appreciate CB for the wonderful work they did. This move will not only discourage crime in the society but also gives loud and clear signal to wrongdoers to refrain from indulging in criminal activities if any,” Dar added.
The RTI activist further claimed that many charges have been framed by the investigating agency into the issue.
“Since it is legal matter I cannot throw light on what frames have been charged, as far as my knowledge is concerned there are many charges framed against those involved in the scam. This is what I know about today’s activity,” he said.
