Bollywood film actor felicitated

JAMMU, July 5: Yash Pal Sharma eminent theatre personality and famous Bollywood film actor was felicitated by Samooh Theatre in a simple but impressive function organized here today.
ND Jamwal, Prof Lalit Magotra, Moti Lal Kemu besides Shabir Mujahid, Director Doordarshan Kendera Jammu presided over the function.
While interaction session, theater and TV artists from Jammu interacted with the Bollywood personality. Sharma responded to the queries raised by the local artists and shared his experiences with them.
Pertinent to mention here that, NSD alumni, Yashpal Sharma has done more than 80 films which included Lagaan, Gangajal, Singh is King.
Basically from Hissar, Sharma has the credit of doing many theater plays also.
Speaking on the occasion, Sharma appreciated the efforts of the theatre groups and young directors of the state for contributing to the field of the Theatre and other concerned forms of Art. Earlier, Dr Sudhir Mahajan, welcomed the guests present on the occasion and informed about various works done by Yashpal Sharma.
The function was attended by the artists of prominent theatre groups and noted media personalities of the Jammu region included Lalit Gupta, Mushtaq Kak noted Theatre Director, Makhan Lal Saraf, Nirmal Vikram, Liaqat Zafri, Ravinder Sharma, Tapeshwar Dutta, Sanjay Kapil and others.
