SRINAGAR, July 6: Syeda Hafeeza Begum mother of PDP senior leader and former minister Altaf Bukhari passed away today at her home in Sheikhbagh Srinagar after brief illness.
She was laid to rest at family's ancestral graveyard at Ladoora in Rafiabad in Baramulla district.
Large number of people from different walks of life attended her Nimaz-e-Jinaza . According to family sources the Chahrum of the deceased will be observed on July 9 at Ladoora.
Meanwhile, governor N N Vohra former chief ministers Mehbooba Mufti, Omar Abdullah , Dr Farooq Abdullah and a number of political leaders have condoled the death and expressed sympathies with the bereaved family.
