Shaktinagar road in dilapidated condition
ActIT Jammu, Projects, Java,, C# Training Jammu
Dear Editor,

Through the medium of your esteemed newspaper, I would like to bring to the notice of concerned authorities that some portion of Shakti Nagar road along Ranbir Canal is still in dilapidated condition and craves for urgent attention. A stretch of the road near-the Kali Bhairav Temple at the foot of the Canal Bridge as well as a sizable portion of the road at the last leg of this road upto Bakshi Nagar bridge is in a very bad shape and causing lot of inconvenience to the people of the locality in particular and public in general. Beside, the road in front of KC residence is only half. The poor stretches of road apart from causing immense inconvenience to all making use of this road to reach their respective destinations, this is vulnerable to accidents as well. The road at these pointed out places needs to be evened first and then mettled as presently only pebbles and puddles are visible. A few days back, the so called pre-monsoon rain made the situation worse as even walking on this road became difficult due to slippery surface.

Even those plying vehicles were found to be having a harrowing experience during the days of rains. The Public is exposed to the dust and pollution rising from this un-macadamized road almost on a daily basis. Apart from causing immense inconvenience to the residents/ general public, the poor condition of the road is in fact a health hazard for all. Earlier the authorities were kind enough to macadamise this road. But it was again dug up for sewerage work on some portions. Now the work is seemingly over and requires to be blacktopped at the earliest in order to provide much needed respite. Perhaps, this is the right time to undertake this work, else people would have to wait for couple of months till the advancing raining seasons is over which means prolonging their exposure to these roads.
