Inter school girls badminton tourney at Bhalessa

JAMMU, July 1: The final of Bhalessa Inter School Girls Badminton Tournament was played at Kilotran Degree College, Gundoh on Thursday.
The tournament was organised under the aegis of Sohanda Rashtriya Rifles.
The league matches were played from June 21 to 26, 2013 at six different locations in Gundoh sub division.
A total of 137 girls from 35 different schools participated in the tournament.
The competition was conducted under two categories of Under 14 and Under 18.
The winner of Under 14 age group was Sakshi Thakur of Summer Hill Public School, Gundoh and the winner of Under 18 age group was Meyan Nusrit Shaheen of Government Higher Secondary School, Shunu.
The prizes and certificates were given to winners by Commander Suigarh Rashtriya Rifles Sector in presence of more than 500 people.
The people thanked and appreciated the army for giving the girls an opportunity to showcase their talent.
