Dangerous signs for political future in country
Kashmir Times. Dated: 3/21/2018 7:05:00 AM
Dear Editor,
At least now BJP-bosses should realise the anger within its cadre when its traditional voters chose not to vote leading to a great party-defeat in important UP by-elections for Lok Sabha seats from Gorukhpur and Phulpur which were seats vacated by none other than Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister respectively. No excuse or defence by party-spokesperson at TV news-channels can justify gimmick stand of the party on its crushing defeat. Gorukhpur seat went to BJP even when UPA-alliance won Lok Sabha elections to rule country. Same has happened in Bihar. Even Sonia Gandhi has ruined a national party Congress by crowning his totally unacceptable son to lead the party like a family-industry.
With SP winning only because of negative voting for BJP, it is now for certain that people by and large are not happy with working of BJP governments at the centre and may be in state also. If BJP also falls terribly like Congress, then indeed it is dangerous for future of the country when regional parties run by their bosses like family-business will emerge to drag the country into an era of unprecedented corruption and pseudo-secularism.
Both BJP and Congress should look into themselves so that these two national parties may not allow regional parties to take a national role.
