SRINAGAR, March 19: Community Party of India Marxist (CPI-M) General Secretary, Sitaram Yachury on Tuesday asserted that there is no way out other than meaningful political dialogue with all stake holders to end crises in Kashmir.
Addressing a presser at Sheri-Kashmir International Conference Centre here on 11th state conference of the Jammu and Kashmir CPI-M, Yechury said meaningful dialogue with all stakeholders will end crises in Kashmir.
“What I believe is that there is no way-out to end uncertainty unless a meaningful political dialogue is initiated with all the stakeholders. Without dialogue it will be impossible to reach to any conclusion,” said Yechury.
Taking a jibe on central government for sending issue of Article 35 (A) for legal interpretation, he said government made the issue even more complicated by making this move.
“Interlocutors report and instrument of accession would be the basis to hold parleys, besides confident building measures including holding parleys with Pakistan, end to the use of pellet guns and employment opportunities must be implemented,” said CPI-M General Secretary.
He also asked Narendra Modi led BJP government to come clear over its policy on Pakistan.
“When we last came to Kashmir under the leadership of Union Home Minister, it was decided that process of political dialogue will be initiated with all stakeholders and the government also accepted it,” said he.
He said that first two conditions including that of employment package to youth and end to use of pellet guns were accepted and assured to implement but two years have passed no initiative was taken in this direction.
“Start political process immediately and implement confidence measure building and make your policy for Pakistan public. Sometimes they say talks are continue sometime say dialogue has cancelled because of cross border skirmishes and until this problem is solved dialogue process cannot be continued what’s this happening?” He questioned.
“Innocent people are dying, we did condemn yesterday’s incident in Poonch, but for solution start dialogue process as composite dialogue cannot resolve this issue,” Yachuri added.
He said seeing the situation through the prism of law and order cannot be way-out the approach “It has to be a political solution based on a process of political dialogue with all the stakeholders”.
