Uncle of missing MBBS student killed in mishap, father injured

SRINAGAR, Mar 18: One person was killed and some others injured when a vehicle met with a road accident in Handwara today.
Reports said the vehicle was carrying some relatives and family members of a Kashmiri MBBS student missing in Odisha since last month.
A relative of the missing student was killed while two others, including his father, were injured in the mishap. They were returning home in north Kashmir fom Odisha.
The accident took place at Unisoo in Handwara after the car JK09A-5547 veered off the road and hit a tree this morning.
Three persons travelling in the car were injured. The injured were removed to a hospital where Liyaqat Ali Khan of Chowkibal, Kupwara, succumbed to his injuries.
Reports said the deceased was an uncle of the missing MBBS student Suhail Aijaz’s father.
The injured were identified as Aijaz Ahmed Kataria son of Ghulam Nabi Kataria (father of missing MBBS student Suhail Aijaz) and Mushtaq Ahmed Kataria both residents of Marsari, Chokibal Kupwara.
Shoaib Aijaz, younger brother of missing MBBS student Suhail Aijaz told media that they were returning home from Odhisa where “my brother is missing from February 9”.
“They had left Odisha nearly a fortnight back and were returning home after their failed bid to trace Suhail.”
