J&K team to take part in Jaipur National Wrestling championship

JAMMU, Feb 21: In a function organized by J&K Wrestling Association at Bajrangi Akhada Shalimar Road here, a team of junior wrestlers was today flagged off by the MLC & former president BJP J&K Ashok Khajuria, chief patron of J&K Wrestling Association.
23 member wrestling team including five women wrestlers from various districts of J&K state are selected out of 55 wrestlers present ion the selections trials for participation in 37th boys free style, Greco Roman Style & 20th Women Junior National Wrestling Championship to be held at Jaipur from 22nd to 25th February.
The team: Anil Choudhary (57 kg), Rakesh Singh (61 kg), Munir Hussain (65 Kg), Gulshan Chib (70 Kg), Ranjeet Singh (74 kg), Vireshwar Sharma (79 kg), Ajay Chib (86 kg), Mahil Dogra (92 kg), Sanjeev Singh (97 kg), Salinder Singh (125 kg), Ashni Kumar (55 kg), Sachin Saini (61 kg), Bachan Singh (63 kg), Shubam Choudhary (97 kg), Liyakat Ali (97 kg) Mohd Asif (72 kg), Nadeem Ahmed (82 kg), Muzzafar Hussain (130 kg), Tanushi Choudhary (50 kg), Shivani Sharma (53 kg), Taniya Sharma (55 Kg), Swati Sharma (57 kg) and Kusum Rani (68 kg) including teachnial official Ravinder Kumar.
MLC congratulates all the selected Wrestlers and members of the association and assured that he shall provide all the requisite facility to the development of Bajrangi Akhada and asked Association to propose an estimate with regard to requirement for providing facilities to Wrestlers of National/International levels out of his CDR fund, prominent others present in this occasion Ajay Vaid, general secretary J&K Wrestling Association, Pradeep Sharma, President Bajrangi Akhada, Raju Sharma, (Treasurer), Swarn Lal, Dheeraj Sharma, Ravinder Sharma, Gh Mohi ud din, Pumposh Ahmad and others were also present.
