JKPS students participates in Taekwondo Championship

JAMMU, Feb 21: JK Public School students recently participated in the 20th J&K State Taekwondo Championship.
The championship was organized by Jammu and Kashmir Taekwondo Association in collaboration with J&K State Sports Council at multipurpose hall, MA Stadium, from February 17 to 19.
The Championship was held under the aegis of Taekwondo Federation of India recognized by Jammu and Kashmir Olympic Association and India Olympic Association. Around 800 players were drawn from all the three regions of J&K; Kashmir, Jammu and Kargil.
The students of JK Public School, Kunjwani came out with flying colours clinching 2 gold medals, 5 silver medals and 4 bronze medals. Mili Singh of class 3rd and Ashima Sharma of class 9th bagged gold medal. Radhika Bhan of class 5th, Bhihum Kour of class 6th, Nikhil Saini of class 7th and Krishna Goud and Nirmal Singh of class 8th clinched silver medal. Zohra Chouhan of class 6th, Randheer Kour of class 8th Afsha Wani and Siya Saini of class 9th seized bronze medal.
The medalists were felicitated in the special assembly today by the Vice Principal, Puneet Kour. All the staff and management also applauded the efforts of the JKIANS and the coach, Arvind Satti.
