Basharat Bukhari takes stock of ongoing work on Jablipora fruit mandi

ANANTNAG, Feb 18: Minister for Horticulture, Syed Basharat Bukhari today visited Jablipora fruit mandi in Bijbehara to take stock of ongoing works there. He stressed on early completion of the fruit mandi.
The Minister while highlighting the importance of the fruit mandi impressed upon concerned officers to complete the work by the end of next fiscal. He instructed the concerned department to adopt uniform designs and colour code for constructing the shops and business establishments at the mandi.
District Development Commissioner Anantnag, Mohammad Younis Malik apprised the Minister regarding the pace and progress of work on the fruit mandi. He was informed that the fruit mandi being constructed under NABARD and MPDP, is spread over 425 kanals with an estimated cost of Rs5 crore.
The mandi upon its completion will provide improved market facilities to the growers of the valley.
SDM Bijbehara, Chief Horticulture Officer Anantnag, Exen PHE Division Bijbehara and other concerned were also accompanying the Minister.
