Th Devraj Memorial Open Speedball C’ship begins

JAMMU, Nov 9: J&K Sports Speedball Association is organizing two-day Thakur Devraj Memorial Open Speedball Championship at Guru Harkrishan Public School in the memory of Lt Th Devraj Singh.

The championship was inaugurated by DIG (retired) and Chairperson of Guru Harkrishan Public School Bhupinder Singh accompanied by Col G S Soodan Director-cum-principal of Guru Harkrishan Public School. General secretary Sunny Anand was also present.

The organizing secretary of this championship is Manika Sharma. 300 students from schools like T S Public School, Little Flower HSS, New Modern High School, S D Tara Puri High School, New Era Mother High School, Luthra Academy High School, Tiny Tots Higher Secondary School, Guru Harkrishan Public School, Dogra Higher Secondary School, J P World School, Lord Mahavira Playway School, Nanda Sports Cub, T S Sports Club, Carmel Convent School, Army School Akhnoor, Aglow Kids, M N K G Montessori School, Kids Planet, Kinder Nest School, Jammu Public School.

On the first day, the list of winners included

Super solo: U-14 Neel Bhan, Satvik Gupta, Mayank Gupta.

U-16: Ankit Sharma, Gurmehar Singh, Sarthak Luthra.

Doubles: Ankit, Gurmanjeet, Meena, Vikas, Rekha, Sheetal.

All girls single: U-12 Tajinder kour, Garima Bhat, Pallavi Kumari, Ashley Singh

U-14 Uditi Verma, Sungandh Mehta, Suneha Manhas, Rasneet Kour

U-16 Rhea Tikku, Sakshi Vaid, Lakshmi Kumari, Jaanvi Salathia.
