Minor injured as littered shell goes off in Poonch

POONCH, Jan 13: A minor was critically injured after a littered shell went off in Islamabad village of Bandi Chechian along the Line of Control in Poonch district on Saturday.

Official sources said a minor boy namely Mohammed Iqbal son of Mohammed Rashid resident of Islamabad village sustained injuries after he fiddled with a littered mortar shell near Qasba nallah near IB bridge.

Sources added that the minor suffered critical injuries on his hands and the face. The locals immediately rescued shifted him to Raja Sukhdev Singh district hospital Poonch from where doctors referred him to the Government Medical College hospital Jammu for advance treatment.
