SRINAGAR, Nov 19: Families of two more alleged militants have appealed them to return to their homes.
This follows, the return of 20-year old football player Majid Khan to his home after he had joined a militant group, Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT). His family, particularly his mother, had appealed him to return home.
Majid recently reported to an army camp. Later, he was presented at a press conference jointly addressed by army and police, who said no case will be registered against him. LeT had said Majid was allowed to go home in view of a plea by his mother.
Now a similar plea has been made by the family of an alleged militant, Ashiq Hussain Bhat of Shopian district to him through social media. He is missing from home since last week and believed to have joined militancy. His pictures brandishing gun have surfaced on social media.
Ashiq’s mother, Fehmida, said that her son, a shopkeeper, did not return home from the shop on November 9. “Later a picture surfaced on the internet. There is no meaning to our lives without Ashiq,” she said.
A similar plea has been made by the family for Manzoor Ahmad Baba, 20-year old youth from Pulwama. He is said to have joined militancy recently. His mother Jawhara Banoo in an internet message to militants have asked them to let Manzoor go home if he is with them.
