Sakina appeals youth to take up self-employment venture

SRINAGAR, June 26: Minister for Social Welfare, ARI & Trainings, Sakina Itoo Wednesday said that the Government is providing succor to unemployed educated youth through Sher-i-Kashmir Employment Scheme, besides soft loans for setting up of income generating units through various central and state government schemes.
The Minister was addressing public meetings at Asthal and Pranihal villages of Noorabad Kulgam district here today.
Appealing youth to take maximum benefit of the schemes the Minister said that there is no dearth of funds and every unemployed youth should take up the self-help ventures for earning dignified and respectable livelihood for themselves as well as their families. She said that the decision taken by present government for panchyati elections was a bold initiative, aimed at de-centralizing the authority to grass root level and also for ensuring sound infrastructural development of far flung and remote areas of the State.She said that the pace of progress on various developmental schemes is apace and government is committed to cover all the uncovered areas in respect of providing basic amenities to the people.
