Sad because could not finish off the match

MUMBAI, Oct 20: Imam Ul Haq, who scored a hundred on debut in the ODI against Sri Lanka at the Dubai Sports City on Wednesday has dedicated his first international Man of the Match (MoM) award to his parents in Pakistan. This was revealed by his brother, who answered confirming first with the opener in Dubai.
"Imam has dedicated this first international MoM to our parents (father : Insaram ul Haq, mother : Farah Insaram). My brother was happy and sad also because he could not finish off the match (and was out exactly on 100 runs)", the brother, Ahtamad ul Haq, speaking exclusively over telephone from Pakistan, said.
"It was a huge pressure on him being the nephew of Inzamam Ul Haq, (the chief selector) but handled it. He tried to be positive and it helped him a lot to overcome it".
Incidentally, the 21-year-old opening batsman was out off a no ball (bowler : Dushmantha Chameera) and even had left the crease when he was on 89.
"Initially he was disappointed because he came close to his maiden hundred and thought he is deprived of the ton but was relieved when no ball was declared by the umpire", the brother added.
"My brother's motto is : "Nothing impossible", and he has proved it. This motto boosts up him when he feels alone and low. It gives him motivation to work hard daily and her remembers that he can achieve anything in life", the brother signed off.
