PG Deptt wins tie in inter-collegiate volleyball tourney

JAMMU, Oct 10: PG Department and GDC Udhampur mark their victories against GDC RS Pura and GDC Kathua respectively in the second round matches of the ongoing Inter-Collegiate Volleyball(Women) tournament 2017-18 organized by Directorate of Sports & Physical Education, University of Jammu at University Sports Stadium.
Earlier, GDC Udhampur outplayed GDC Kathua in a close contested match by (2-1) sets with set score 23-25, 25-23, 18-16. PG Department defeated GDC RS Pura by (2-0) sets with set score 25-04, 25-03.
Prof Avtar Singh Jasrotia, Director, Directorate of Sports & Physical Education, University of Jammu was the chief guest on today’s function.
Those present included Prof Kamaljeet Singh, Dr Vinod Bakshi, Suman Lata, Shonima Malhotra, Mohd.Ishaq Bhat, Shikha, Romesh Sharma, Ravish Vaid, Jai Bharat, Vikas Karlopia were also present on the occasion.
The matches were officiated by Manik Nargotra, Mulkh Raj, Amit Sharma, Naresh Kumar, Amarjeet Singh and Romesh Singh Jasrotia.
