Wajid club Chareel wins Banihal champions league

RAMBAN, Sep 10: Wajid Cricket club Chareel Banihal defeated Shah Asrar Cricket club Kaskoot Banihal by 38 runs in the final match of the Banihal champions league 2017 played at Banihal
More than 64 teams of Ramban district participated in the tournament played at Banihal. The finals was played between wajid cricket club Chareel and Shah Asrar Kaskoot. Wajid club scored 165 runs in 20 overs and in the reply Shah Asrar could make 128 runs only. More than two thousand local cricket lovers witnessed the final match at HSS Banihal with enthusiasm. Popular cricketer of the J&K Ranji team Manzoor Pandav was the star attraction in the final. Many prizes were awarded to include leading wicket tanked, man of the match, leading run scorer and player of the tournament. The final match was won by Wajid Cricket Club and was given trophy and Rs 75000 cash however runner up team was given trophy and Rs 50000- by the officers from army on the occasion. Amir Wani got most of the awards in the tournament including man of the tournament. The locals were very happy with the conduct of such a big event in Banihal.
