A lawyer said Mian Qayoom reached Srinagar today and has been asked to appear again before NIA on September 14. Eight members of Bar had gone along with Mian Qayoom to New Delhi.
The Bar’s general body will meet on Tuesday (September 12), two days before Qayoom will fly to Delhi to appear before NIA.
Lawyers across Kashmir valley on Friday had suspended the court work for the consecutive fifth day today to protest against NIA for summoning their president to New Delhi.
“Today, we held a two-hour meeting which was presided over by our Bar Association president Mian Qayoom,” the lawyer told said.
