JAMMU, June 21: All J&K Movement for Peace and Justice, member Kuldeep Kumar Rao, while reacting to sensational news item published in a section of press, regarding distribution of spurious drugs in medical college and associated hospitals at Jammu and Srinagar and expressed great shock and anguish as to how a deep-rooted criminal conspiracy has been hatched in making crore of rupees as commission at the cost of lives of hapless citizens.

In a meeting, Rao terming the sensational disclosure as tip of the iceberg said that there is a complete chaos and confusion in health department particularly with regard to the quality of drugs putting the health of citizens to risk while there is an organized network of those who are making hefty money at the cost of innocent people.

He demanded that the government should send the teams of drug expert in nook and corner of the state particularly remote and inaccessible areas to know the truth about the efficacy of drugs being supplied to the people. Simple suspension of officials or framing of investigation committees will not the help at all, instead there is need to frame stringent laws to handle such persons who are playing with the lives of innocent people.
