Army porter injured on Rajouri LoC

RAJOURI, Aug 10: An army porter was seriously injured in a mine blast near the Line of Control (LoC) in Rajouri district, today.
The injured has been identified as Sharif, 60, son of Hassan Mohammad resident of Thathali Rajouri.
Police said that the army porter accidentally stepped over drifted land mine in forward area of Rajouri, today. He was seriously injured in the blast and was shifted to District Hospital (DH) Rajouri for treatment.
Medical Superintendent Dr Mehmood Hussain Bajar said that the porter was operated upon and saved with the efforts of doctor's and para medical staff.
Patient was given two bottles of blood transfusion donated by army jawans in a blood donation camp organised today of BG Army camp by the Hospital administration today on due to the availability of blood to save the life of critically injured patient.
The Medical Superintendent appealed the community to come forward to donate blood for needy patients.
