Gujarat XI register win against Manhas Cricket Club in 13th Gufran C'Ship

DODA, July 21: Gujarat XI team registered win against Manhas Cricket Club by 06 wickets and advanced to the next stage of the ongoing All India 13th Gufran Memorial T20 Cricket Championship 2017 being played at Sports Stadium Doda.
The tournament is being organized by Young Star Cricket Club Doda and sponsored by Rashtriya Rifles Battalion Doda.
Earlier after winning the toss, Manhas Cricket Club set a target of 148 runs for the loss of 07 wickets in alloted 20 overs game with the contribution of 39 runs by Nikhil Kotwal and 32 runs by Kavit Manhas. From Gujarat XI, Lukman Patel and Iqbal Sayed shared 02 wickets each.
In reply after getting good start from the opening batsmans, Gujarat Eleven team chased the stipulated target in 15.5 overs by the loss of 04 wickets. Faizal Mansuri was the highest scorer who contributed 41 runs while Imtiyaz Pathan and Yasin Patel contributed 29 and 28 runs respectively for their team. From Manhas Cricket Club, Lakhan Jamwal scalped 03 wickets while Kavit Manhas took 01 wicket.
Later on Yasin Patel of Gujarat Eleven was declared as Man of the Match for his best all round performance who was given prize by Chief Guest Former Chairman MC Doda Zaffar Ullah Rather along with Dr Sajjad Hussain Kraipak and Ishtiaq Ahmed Dev.
The matches was officiated by Ifroz Rather and Vijay Partab Singh as Umpires while Milind Gore and Waseem Raja maintained the score.
