Surat Club Gujarat registers emphatic win against Everest Club Bhalessa

JAMMU, July 17: Surat Cricket Club Gujarat registered resounding victory against Everest Cricket Club Bhalessa by 04 wickets and advanced into the next stage of the ongoing All India 13th Gufran Memorial T20 Cricket Championship 2017, being played at Sports Stadium Doda.
The tournament is being organized by Young Star Cricket Club Doda and sponsored by Rashtriya Rifles Unit Doda.
Batting first, Everest Cricket Club Bhalessa made 158 runs for the loss of 06 wickets in alloted 20 overs game. Rayees played a splendid inning of 68 runs for his team, while Ishtiaq Rasool contributed 33 runs. From Everest Cricket Club Bhalessa, Mubarak Patel scalped 02 wickets while Hussain Patel, Luqman Patel and Tosif Thukar shared 01 wicket each.
In reply, after getting good start from the opening batsmans, Surat Cricket Club Gujarat team managed to chase the given target in 19.2 overs for the loss of 06 wickets thus by won the match by 04 wickets. Mubarak Patel was the highest scorer from Gujarat team who made 50 runs while Rahul Sarwade scored 37 runs. From Everest Cricket Club Bhalessa, Amir Wani took 03 wickets while Irshad Wani and Ishtiaq Rasool shared 01 wicket each.
Later on Mubarak Patel of Surat Cricket Club Gujarat team was adjudged as Man of the Match for his best all round performance who was given prize by Chief Guest Tehsildar Doda Nasir Ali Natnoo along the SHO Police Station Doda Bishnesh Kumar.
Addressing the players and the local people who were present at the presentation ceremony, chief guest Tehsildar Doda Nasir Ali Natnoo lauded the efforts of Young Star Cricket Club Doda for holding such events in this region which would boost up the morale of youth while participating in such activities, added that sports activities are important for the overall physical and mental development of the youth.
The match was officiated by Munish Zutshi and Ifroz Rather as Umpires, while Milind Gore maintained the scorecard.
