National level wrestling competition on Aug 20

JAMMU, July 16: Choudhary Lal Singh, Minister for Forest, Environment/Ecology and President of Jammu and Kashmir wrestling Association today announced to organize national level wrestling competition on August 20 at MA Stadium, Jammu in Olympic style and Indian Style Wrestling.
Bouts in each style in all weight categories shall be organized by Jammu and Kashmir Wrestling Association in collaboration with J&K State Sports Council.
The winner of first bout will get 1,11000. While second 75000, third 50000, the fourth 31000 and Fifth 21000 besides three bouts amounting to Rs 11000 each shall be conducted in each style,disclosed newly elected President of J&K Wrestling Association who threw light on the rich cultural heritage of wrestling of which religious scriptures speaks volumes.
Prominent women wrestlers are undergoing training under the guidance of Nisha Sharma inter university Bronze Medalist herself.
Shiv Kumar Sharma,Joint secretary Jammu and Kashmir State Sport Council said under the leadership of Choudhary Lal Singh wrestling will flourish definitely in all parts of the state.
