Power House Club holds exhibition Hockey matches

POONCH, July 14: Power House Hockey Club today organised two exhibition matches for boys and girls to show their support to the newly formed Hockey Jammu and Kashmir and to compliment the newly elected president, Kanta Andotra at Sports Stadium, here.
In the first, played in the girls, Power House Club Poonch defeated the opponent team 2-1. Abhilove Kur scored both the goals netting the ball in the 15th and 45th minute of the match. Similarly, in boys' category, Stadium Seniors outplayed Stadium Juniors 3-2. Sanjeev, Talvinder and Showkat netted the ball in the 10th, 25th and 60th minute of the match respectively.
From Stadium Junior, Shahid (15th) and Harsh (37th) were the scorers. Incharge Sports Stadium Poonch, Nirdosh Kumar was chief guest while Principal, Madan Lal was guest of honour.
Those who were present included Ram Prakash, Sourab Sharma (PET) and DK Raina (PET). Both the matches held under the technical supervision of vice president Hockey J&K, Sham Lal Sharma. Meanwhile, hockey coaches, Pawan Kumar and Mukesh Kumar congratulated the new team of Hockey J&K and expressed their support in promoting the game in Jammu and Kashmir.
