Natrang to organise 4 day theatre festival by children

JAMMU, July 13: Natrang Jammu is going to organise four day theatre festival by children entitled ‘Celebrating Childhood’ at Abhinav Theatre Jammu.
The festival will open on Sunday July 9, 2017 at 5.30 PM with the play ‘Milawat Ke Liye Khed Hai’ conceived and directed by Sumeet Sharma. This will follow the presentation of the play ‘Mere Hisse Ki Dhoop Kahan Hai’ written and directed by Balwant Thakur on Monday July 17.
On 3rd day of the festival Balwant Thakur’s highly acclaimed Hindi play ‘Aap Hamaare Hain Kaun’ will be staged on Tuesday July 18. The festival will conclude with a special programme entitled ‘Subse Bada Kalakaar- Vrinda Gujral’ on Wednesday July 19, 2017 at 5.30 PM.
This occasion will offer a unique opportunity to witness live the proud of Jammu-Vrinda Gural with selected acts of her performances of the TV Show Subse Bada Kalakaar. Vrinda brought laurels for the state of Jammu & Kashmir by winning the 1st runner-up position in the toughest acting competition of the country and was selected from amongst 50,000 children and competing one after the other reached to the top three and finally won the 2nd position.
Giving further details, Natrang Director Padamshree Balwant Thakur informed here today that Natrang is making all out efforts to selflessly to revolutionize the art and culture of the state of Jammu & Kashmir and for that the best way is to promote and showcase the excellence amongst children. Natrang started holding Children Theatre camps in the year 1990 and in last 27 years have maintained the consistency of holding such training programmes regularly and have trained over 5,000 children in the art of theatre and dramatics. Today Jammu is known world over for its brilliance in theatre and all has been possible through the constant endeavours of Natrang.
66 (Sixty six) talented Children will vibrate Jammu stage for four days through their immense talent.
